What ProPost does for X (Twitter)

ProPost writes your X (Twitter) posts in your own style, checks them against X (Twitter)'s limits as you type, and publishes them at the time you pick. Here is what that looks like in practice.

1

Short posts that still sound like you

280 characters leaves no room for filler. ProPost drafts from your style profile and can tighten a draft that runs long without losing your tone.

2

Threads without the copy-paste

Have more to say? Turn on thread mode and ProPost splits a long text into a thread at natural breaks. You can also mark where each part should end yourself.

3

Find conversations worth joining

For accounts connected through our publishing integration, search recent posts on X for topics you care about, straight from ProPost, with a daily search allowance.

4

Messages and replies in one place

Read and answer replies and direct messages from ProPost, and see post and account analytics next to your schedule.

ProPost attaches one image or one video to each post. Video, first comments, threads and the other per-network options work on accounts connected through our publishing integration, which is part of the paid plans. The composer warns you before a post goes over a limit.

Tips for posting on X (Twitter)

General, well-established advice. Your own analytics will tell you what works best for your audience.

  1. One idea per postSay one thing clearly. If you need three points, that's a thread, and the first post should make people want the rest.
  2. Make the first post of a thread stand aloneMany people only see the opening post. It should be worth reading by itself and make clear what the thread delivers.
  3. Reply more than you broadcastThoughtful replies to people in your field are one of the most reliable ways to be noticed. Scheduling your own posts frees time for that.
  4. Use visuals where they explainA chart, a screenshot or a short clip can carry what words can't fit. Add a short description so everyone can follow.
  5. Keep hashtags to a minimumOn X, one relevant hashtag at most usually reads better than several. Let the words carry the post.

Schedule X (Twitter) posts in three steps

  1. 1

    Connect your account

Add your X (Twitter) account from Settings, in the Channels section. It takes a few clicks, and you can disconnect it whenever you like.

  2. 2

    Write in your style

Give ProPost an idea, a topic or a link. It drafts the post in your voice, sized for X (Twitter), and you change anything you want.

  3. 3

    Pick a time

Choose an exact date and time, or add the post to your queue. ProPost publishes it then, and your calendar shows everything that is planned.

Prefer to work from your AI assistant?

ProPost works with AI assistants over MCP. Ask yours to draft a X (Twitter) post, fit it to the limits and schedule it. You decide what gets published: each connection can be limited to drafts, to scheduling, or allowed to publish.

Frequently asked questions

Can ProPost schedule threads on X?

Yes. With thread mode on, a text longer than one post is published as a thread, split at paragraph or sentence breaks, or where you placed a "---" line.

What is the character limit on X?

280 characters for standard accounts. ProPost counts as you type and warns you before you go over.

Can I edit an X post after it's published?

X only allows edits for Premium accounts, within a short time after posting. When X accepts it, you can edit the text from ProPost; otherwise X returns a clear error. You can also remove a published post.

Can I connect more than one X account?

Yes, within the number of channels your plan includes. Each account can use its own voice.

Can I post the same content to X and Threads or Bluesky?

Yes. Copy the post to another channel and ProPost fits the text to that network's limit.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free plan includes 1 connected channel, 5 AI drafts a month and up to 2 scheduled posts a week, with no credit card. Paid plans add more channels, more drafts, unlimited scheduling and our publishing integration for video and the per-network options.
