Mastodon scheduler

Schedule Mastodon posts with AI, on any server

Mastodon is made of many independent servers, each with its own community. ProPost connects to the server you use, drafts posts in your voice and publishes them on schedule.

What ProPost does for Mastodon

ProPost writes your Mastodon posts in your own style, checks them against Mastodon's limits as you type, and publishes them at the time you pick. Here is what that looks like in practice.

1

Any public server

Enter the server your account lives on, such as the one in your handle, and sign in there. ProPost works with public Mastodon servers, not only the largest ones.

2

Several accounts, several servers

Have one account for work and one for a hobby, on different servers? Connect both and keep their posts on the same calendar, each with its own voice.

3

Drafts that fit the culture

ProPost drafts from your style profile and keeps posts within 500 characters. Ask for a plainer, less promotional version when a draft sounds like an ad.

4

Reuse posts from other networks

Copy a post from Bluesky, X or Threads to your Mastodon channel and ProPost fits the text to the limit.

Mastodon at a glance

Read from the same rules ProPost uses to check your posts, so this table always matches what the app enforces.

500 characters is Mastodon's default. Some servers allow longer posts.

ProPost attaches one image or one video to each post. Video, first comments, threads and the other per-network options work on accounts connected through our publishing integration, which is part of the paid plans. The composer warns you before a post goes over a limit.

Tips for posting on Mastodon

General, well-established advice. Your own analytics will tell you what works best for your audience.

  1. Introduce yourselfAn introduction post with a few hashtags about your interests is a common way to start on a new server.
  2. Hashtags are how people find youMastodon search and discovery lean on hashtags. Use a few that describe the post, and write multi-word ones in CamelCase so screen readers read them well.
  3. Describe your imagesAlt text is a strong norm on Mastodon, and some people prefer not to boost images that lack it.
  4. Use content warnings as your server expectsServers have their own rules. Read them, and use content warnings for the topics your community asks for.
  5. Be a person, not a feedReply, boost others and join conversations. Accounts that only post links tend to be ignored.

Schedule Mastodon posts in three steps

  1. 1

    Connect your account

Add your Mastodon account from Settings, in the Channels section. It takes a few clicks, and you can disconnect it whenever you like.

  2. 2

    Write in your style

Give ProPost an idea, a topic or a link. It drafts the post in your voice, sized for Mastodon, and you change anything you want.

  3. 3

    Pick a time

Choose an exact date and time, or add the post to your queue. ProPost publishes it then, and your calendar shows everything that is planned.

Prefer to work from your AI assistant?

ProPost works with AI assistants over MCP. Ask yours to draft a Mastodon post, fit it to the limits and schedule it. You decide what gets published: each connection can be limited to drafts, to scheduling, or allowed to publish.
